Krizia Robustella, one of our favorite Spanish designers, I have the pleasure of meet her three years, presented Black Gold Kings, her collection for next autumn-winter. This latest collection is inspired by Arab sheikhs and Western rappers who love alike luxury, cars, money and bling bling. The Black Gold Kings of Robustella and their respective Queens have shown on the catwalk the upcoming trends to fw13/14: golden, black, strings, exotic prints by Pau Sampera and XXL accesorizes. Once more Krizia surprises us and not disappoint us because she does incredible things, as always, keeping her image 100% sport deluxe.]

A finales de 2008 decidió mudarse a Arnhem- Holanda por amor y una vez allí, creó su pequeña empresa. Swinging Chicks empezó a tener una clientela que poco o nada tenía que ver con la escena soul, era mucho más diversa, y pedía a gritos algo diferente.

Su nombre hace referencia a la época de los 60 en Londres, ya que Swinging London fue la efervescencia cultural que vivió la ciudad en esa época y que convirtió a la ciudad inglesa en la capital mundial de la cultura y de la moda juvenil. El término Swinging se utilizaba en aquella época para referirse a lo hip o lo moderno. En España lo denominaríamos “ Ye-ye”.

Trabajan con materiales como poliéster, algodón y algo de stretch, lo más parecido a los materiales que se utilizaban en esa época. Actualmente tienen una tienda en Arnhem y además venden sus vestidos en tiendas de Holanda y en su tienda online. También cuenta con puntos de venta en España y Galicia, como la tienda Senhorita ni Fu Ni Fa en Orense. Han hecho también vestuario para teatro y danza en compañías de Alemania y Holanda, y sus vestidos han aparecido en revistas como One Magazine de Nueva York y Dew Magazine UK.

[María Lareo is the designer and creator of Swinging Chicks brand. She began making dresses from the 60s, cutting A line dresses and Baby Doll and selling them online as limited edition in his hometown, La Coruña. She was devoted to organizing soul parties with friends and also every weekend they played vinyls in local bars. The girls moved in such circles are quite flirty and liked brand new outfits in each party. Some complained that it did not find carvings on dresses vintage they normally bought on Ebay and she arranged them for them. Is not cool?. Her continuous inspiration is fashion, film, art and architecture of the 1950s and 60th. At the end of 2008 she decided to move to Arnhem (Netherlands) and once there, she created her small business. Swinging Chicks began to have customers that had little or nothing to do with the soul scene, was much more diverse, and called for shouting something different.Its name refers to the era of the 1960s in London, because that Swinging London was the cultural effervescence that lived the city at that time and which became the world capital of culture and youth fashion to the English City. The Swinging term was used at that time to refer to the hip or modern. In Spain we experienced it as "Ye-yé". She works with materials like polyester, cotton and some stretch, the closest thing to the materials that were used at that time. Currently she has a shop in Arnhem and also sell the dresses in Dutch stores and its online store. Also the dresses are sold in Spain and Galicia, in stores like Fu Ni Fa in Orense. She made costumes for theater and dance companies from Germany and the Netherlands, and her clothes have appeared in magazines such as One Magazine in New York and Dew Magazine UK. [331west is an initiative of a group of Dutch with love for art, coffee and fun things. Their desire for a space to meet, where different artists are inspired, where you get a gift for friends as well as delicious coffee and weekends until 18 pm for breakfast, has led them to create this spectacular cafe / gallery. In what was a former butcher Ruijterweg Admiraal in Amsterdam, the place opened in early October 2011, becoming gallery and coffee shop. In the gallery, exhibits of various artists that alternate. Looks more like a garage than a store itself, but is totally a spectacular place, so they very often change completely. Hace unos años recuerdo que tuvo su boom y era casi obligatorio ir a visitar uno en cuanto llegabas a una ciudad nueva o viajabas. Ahora, sin embargo, se ha convertido en un lugar de paso y en el lugar para tomarte un café mientras revisas el correo.

Quizas, movida por la rutina, la marca ha decido darle una vuelta de tuerca a su concepto y ha creado su primera “concept store” en Ámsterdam bajo el nombre de “The bank”. ¿Qué tiene de diferente?, el espacio, algo que en los otros tipos de establecimiento casi no cuidaban, se fijaban más en el producto.
